Its warm in London!

With my hankie on a stick and a smile on my face, I set off in the early hours of Tuesday morning, via steam locomotive to the city where streets are paved with gold, where dreams are made and banking careers are broken. With temperatures soaring to 30 degrees, I walked down Kensington High Street, towards my destination (only because I missed my train!)
In search of the very latest in web technologies, I visited the Online Marketing Show 09 at London Olympia. Like a Northern rabbit between the headlights of a very large Norbert Dentressangle lorry, I gazed in wonder at the stands offering all kinds of magical “Search Engine Optimisation” and “BioMetric Customer Profiling”. The latter involves companies who actually monitor the path your eyes take when viewing a web page. Now this scared me, I dont want people watching my eyes with software designed by the CIA, and I dont think you do either. Rest assured if you visit our site, no-one will be monitoring what your eyes do (although I did think it could be an excellent tool for Specsavers.)
And why do people think its good to give you cheap pens that break after 3 words, why not just give you 20p or a straight answer to “how much will it cost me?”, I would remember them much more for that.
Was it a worthwhile use of my time, who knows, but I’m sure I picked up enough to add to and further improve our site.
